Blonk Consultants, worldleading LCA authority, has been invited by SFAP to calculate the CO2 footprint of the soy produced by certified SFAP farmer groups. The results are now available and show a remarkable reduction in comparison with the 'default values' for Brazilian soy. The footprint is 24% lower if land use change is not taken into account and up to 95% lower when land use change is included. More information on this study is available via the website of Blonk Consultants.
