SFAP participated in a pilot by GFLI about 'branded data'. Branded data is trustworhty carbon footprint data about a specific region or group of (certified) farmers. Branded data is approved by GFLI. After requiring the certified materials (in this case soy), downstream companies, for instance in the feed industry, may use these branded data to lower their carbon footprint.
In the pilot about branded data, GFLI tested an approach to arrive at harmonised and solid carbon footprint data that is more specific than the default values. SFAP is glad to announce that GFLI approved the LCA-calculations of SFAP. The SFAP carbon footprint data is now available upon request.
