SFAP starts pilot with Regenerative Agriculture

Pilot with RegenAgri

Regenerative agriculture has gained ground in the past decade. SFAP-certified farm groups implement the criteria from the SFAP standard and, with that, work on improving soil health, optimizing carbon sequestration, minimizing input use, and maximizing biodiversity on their farms. To demonstrate that the practices of certified farmers are already well aligned with regenerative agriculture, SFAP started a project with RegenAgri.

For this pilot, a farm in the Cerrado in Brazil (400 ha. soybeans) was selected to follow the steps from the RegenAgri process. These steps are:

1. Assessment of the current situation. 2. Continious improvement. 3. Auditing en certfication
The results from the pilot will be shared on our website!
