Together with LCA specialist Blonk Consultants, SFAP is developing an accurate picture of the CO2 footprint in the Cerrado. Leading LCA databases usually only include data at the national level, which does not sufficiently take into account the unique conditions in specific regions.
SFAP and it's partners are currently collecting relevant crop input data such as fertilizer use and fossil fuel use. Together with Blonk Consultants these data will be translated into a unique LCA profile for the SFAP farmer group.
